Aaron King Vaughn

Based in Florida, Aaron King Vaughn is the Assistant Conductor of Sinfonia Gulf Coast under Maestro Demetrius Fuller and Music Director for the Sinfonia Youth Orchestras and a Project Inclusion Freeman Conducting Fellow with the Chicago Sinfonietta under Music Director Mei-Ann Chen. 

In July of 2021 Vaughn placed in the Semifinals round of the International Lliria City of Music Conducting Competition. He has been invited to the PRISMA Conducting Fellowship, and the International Institute for Conductors.  

Vaughn has extensive experience with collegiate and youth orchestras, and has worked the Tallahassee Youth Orchestras, Sarasota Youth Orchestras, and Sinfonia Youth Orchestras. Additionally, he served as Orchestra Director at Manatee High School from 2015 – 2017. Before focusing on conducting, Aaron King Vaughn worked as a professional violinist. He has served in principal positions with Bradenton Symphony Orchestra, Panama City Symphony Orchestra, and the Sinfonia Gulf Coast. Mr. Vaughn earned his Masters in Orchestral Conducting in 2019 from The Florida State University College of Music under the direction of Dr. Alexander Jiménez.
